Silver Fox and Chicks

Here we are with the final top ten list. The Silver Fox made a list of 25 which included many repeat actors and more than a few chicks. What is that? Does he actually think women could crack a top 100 list, let alone top 25? Lets get serious fox. Also I know you are a Dylan fan, but the late great Heath Ledger as Robbie in I'm Not There at number two? Ridiculous. Did you not see Dark Knight?

Silver Fox's Top Ten

10. Lewis Scott- Damon Wayans- Celtic Pride

9. JJ Jake Gittes- Jack Nicholson- Chinatown

8. Frank Slade- Al Pacino- Scent of a Woman

7. Thomas Fowler- Michael Caine- Quiet American

Survivor Tocantins- Week 3

Thoughts

Ok it is now official. I did the absolute worst job drafting my survivor team. My second player, Jerry, was voted off this week and it looks as though Erinn is next if Jalopao wins immunity next week. So Mags, Lar, Jaydon if any of you want the great Joe who killed it in this week's challenges I'm for a trade for two weaker players.

Now about the game play of this week. If I were on Timbura I would get this 'Coach' character out immediately. He is my least favorite person in all of the Survivor and Big Brother that I have watched. He is completely annoying and also trying to control what the group is doing. And he isn't even good at competitions! Get rid of this clown. Tyson on the other hand is awesome. "I love to see people cry when they're eliminated," he says.

Jay-sone's Decade

As my superior and probably my most loyal reader, Jay-sone gets in on the list making action with his top ten characters. This dude really had himself a good time watching movies in the 90s. All but one of his top ten characters were created in the 1990s. Some might say that Jay needs to get with the times, but not me, I am a big fan of the nineties...great decade. As far as decades of the past century go, the 90s are up there for me as one of the best.

Top Decades

The Lochness Quest

So late last year as I was gearing up for graduation, Lochness was deciding to end his collegiate basketball career early. A junior this year he made the choice to quit Brewers basketball so that he could have the time to enjoy other endeavors. Now you and I both know that this meant that he needed more time to finish off the IMDB Top 250. Eight of his top ten characters come from top 250 movies. His television watching has certainly not increased from what I can tell over the past half a year. Anytime I ask the Locksmith about Lost or Office he has no idea what I'm talking about. This is a dude who truly wishes he was on the up and up in the television world, but fails miserably.

Lochness's Top Ten

10. Dr. Strangelove- Peter Sellers- Dr. Strangelove

9. Sam Spade- Humphrey Bogart- Maltese Falcon

8. Bernard Campbell- Vince Vaughn- Old School

7. Teddy KGB- John Malkovich- Rounders

No Sanka for Jaydon

Being the great Jamaican that he is, I was very surprised when I didn't find Sanka Coffie in his top ten movie characters. Actually I was surprised when his entire top didn't look like this...

1. Sanka Coffie- Cool Runnings
2. Derice Bannock- Cool Runnings
3. Yul Brenner- Cool Runnings
4. Junior Bevil- Cool Runnings
5. Mr. Coolidge- Cool Runnings
6. Momma Coffie- Cool Runnings
7. Push Cart Derby Starter- Cool Runnings
8. Joy Bannock- Cool Runnings
9. Whitby Bevil Sr.- Cool Runnings
10. Ben Bannock(only in a picture)- Cool Runnings

Either way I was a big fan of Jaydon's list, especially since he gave some love to Jack Kelly and Ronald F. Burgandy. Also big ups for Linderman getting the number one spot.

Jaydon's Top Ten

10. James Bond(left)- Daniel Craig- Casino Royale

9. Jack Kelly- Christian Bale- Newsies

8. Willy Wonka- Gene Wilder- Willy Wonka

2. Tyler Durden- Brad Pitt- Fight Club

1. Alex DeLarge- Malcolm McDowell- A Clockwork Orange

Fantasy LL Championship

Championship Babyyy! My first fantasy league championships in a while. Seeing that I was the only one who made a lineup change the entire season, it was well deserved. Other than a little props to Lar for winning the Awful Bowl, I'd like to salute my squad for a fantastic season.

Reservoir Dogs

As some know I am currently attempting to broaden my movie watching ability with recent viewings of 'On the Waterfront', 'The Sting' and 'Dr. Strangelove'. The first two I thoroughly enjoyed and Strangelove didn't really do it for me. With influence from The Boss and Jay-sone I was turned on to the Tarantino films (of which I had seen none). Last night I threw in 'Reservoir Dogs' and came out of the experience very happy. Not to say that I get happy when everyone in a movie dies, but it was a great flick.

Thoughts

The beginning was fantastic. With a cold open that leads into what I like to call a "slow-mo walking with music doing intros" scene, it got me excited for the rest of the film. The cold open was great because I immediately connected with Buscemi's character, Mr. Pink. He didn't leave a tip for the waitress because he doesn't believe in it. He had my thoughts of the past ten years exactly. Why do waitresses deserve tips for doing their job? This leads into my over the top theory that so many thank yous are unnecessary. Why thank the bus driver when getting off? He's driving you because he gets paid to do it. Are you thanking him for not getting into an accident or turning around and shooting you in the head? Also the thank you for someone who opens the door as the leave somewhere and you're entering, unnecessary. They're leaving anyway, they are not opening the door solely so that you don't have to. Ridiculous.

Anyway where was I, oh yes, the movie. Other unbelievable moment was when the rest of the crew leaves and Mr. Blonde, played by Michael Madsen, is left with the hostage of a cop. When he puts on 'Stuck in the Middle' by Steelers Wheel and starts dancing it really got me going. I fell in love with The Matador all over again. And then there is the ending when everyone shoots each other. With some discussion with Jay-sone it seems that Mr. White got off two shots, killing Joe and Eddie, before he hits the ground. Now according to Chris Penn something went wrong with the stunt and he began to fall to the ground before White got his second shot off but in the fast action of it, I couldn't tell any of that. I loved the fact that Mr. Pink snuck out and got away scott free.

Top Reservoir Dogs

1. Mr. Blonde- Michael Madsen
2. Mr. Pink- Steve Buscemi
3. Nice Guy Eddie- Chris Penn
4. Mr. Brown- Quentin Tarantino
5. Mr. Orange- Tim Roth
6. Joe- Lawrence Tierney
7. Mr. Blue- Eddie Bunker
8. Mr. White- Harvey Keitel

Old Man T-Time

For a dude that prides himself in loving old movies, and by old movies I mean anything before 1980, Timothy H. Time has six new movie characters to four old ones. This is such a slap in the face to the 300 dvds he has from the 50s and 60s. While we're on the subject of list making, during the summers I worked at the fabulous DeLorme Map Company, T-time and I would make lists of everything and anything and then vote on them. One of our original goals was to end up with a master list of the greatest people in the world (actors, athletes, musicians, actual people we know, etc.) Due to the fact that I am now residing in CT this never happened, and aren't we all sad because of it.

T-time's Top Ten

10. Captain Ron- Kurt Russell- Captain Ron

9. Mr. Miyagi- Pat Morita- Karate Kid

8. Ivanhoe Martin- Jimmy Cliff- The Harder They Come

7. Doc Holliday- Val Kilmer- Tombstone

6. Eddie Felson- Paul Newman- The Hustler

5. Captain James Hook- Dustin Hoffman- Hook

4. David Ruffin- Leon- The Temptations

3. Rick Blaine- Humphrey Bogart- Casablanca

2. Dignan- Owen Wilson- Bottle Rocket

1. Man With No Name (left)- Clint Eastwood- The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Survivor Tocantins- Week 2

Thoughts

Wow did my squad take a turn for the worst last night. I don't care if I lost a player, I am glad Candace got booted...she was the worst. Scratch that, Sandy is the worst but Candace was also terrible. Kate Hudson (Sierra) survived another week even though her tribe seemed to think she was doing terrible in the challenge. I disagree and thought she was doing as well as any other chick, except for Eddie George's beast of a fullback of a wife, Taj. She was plowing through dudes to score. Also I thought I was gonna hate Tyson but I'm definitely starting to like him. The action between him and Jerry at the end was great. They were just chillin' out talking about how crazy everyone was being and I enjoyed. In the results below there should be nothing strange except for the ten point bonus for JT because of the leadership role he has taken on. Anyone has a quarrel with that let me know.

Fantasy LL- Week 5

Nothing to note this week other than the fact that I had the highest score, Larry finally didn't have the worst, and Sam Simmons is a complete beast week in and week out. If he doesn't get the POY I'll be very upset.

Survivor Tocantins- Week 1

Of my top eight going into this year's draft I got three, Mags got three, Jaydon got two and Larry got zero. But he did get my least and third least favorite heading into season two of the Bro Out Fantasy Survivor League.

Rules
We felt the scoring was a bit off last year and have adjusted some of the points.
-With each round a player makes it through they will receive...
...1,2,4,7,11,16,22,29,37,46,56,67,79,92
-Backstabbing still worth 20
-Man sh*t is still 10
-Votes against a player are still -4
-Individual challenge winners receive 10 for reward and 20 for immunity
-Team challenge winners get 4 for reward and 8 for immunity
-Labeled the leader is 10
-Make it to the merger and receive 8 bonus points

The first ep was last night and let's just say things started off where they ended last year, with Larry's squad getting booted in the first tribal. God is this kid terrible at fantasy. Real nice at solitaire though. I don't think anyone will be able to catch me with this nice eight point lead I've racked up here.
